Abstracts (2016-)

During my bachelors degree I trained as a painter, but soon after lost the interest towards the materiality on painting.
The Abstracts (as I admittedly banally call them), is a series consisting of minimal digital paintings that seem even too simple at first, but which are hard to look away from once engaged. Their digital form inverts the current experience of art through online documentation, and sets them in a fluid state that allows them to very easily become something else than a 2D image if needed - a semi-open-source material that is free for reinterpretation in different contexts, challenging the autonomy of both the artwork and the artist.
